I think I screwed up an interview

I applied for a part time job as a food service associate at the hospital. I desperately want this job because I dont have a car and its literally a block away. Plus I've been searching for a job for the past year and a half and batting 0. Anyway, I was severely nervous before the interview and they asked me a few questions that I asked stupidly and was drawing blanks. I also accidentally lied about whether or not I was late or had any unmarked absences on my last job. I just said no but forgot about this one time and didn't think about it until I got home. Now I'm worried that they'll find out and think I'm a liar. I'm so frustrated because now I'm worried they won't hire me. I wish I could do it over again.

it's done now. it doesn't sound like you did badly, you were just a bit anxious. hope you get the job.

I also screwed up an interview a couple of weeks back due to being anxious. Try not to stress about it and if you don’t get the job think of it as practice.

In the meantime, keep your head up and look and apply for other jobs that you can do. Next time you have an interview it can only get better.

The last time I thought I screwed up a job interview, they asked me a question about my specialty, I answered it, and then they corrected me.

I ended up getting hired, so clearly it didn't go as badly as I'd thought. Best of luck to you.

No worries Kathrine, if they don't hire you because of this they don't know who they are declining.
