Should I quit my job?

I only make 166 a week. But at the same time I just got insurance. Maybe I should just get a 2nd job... what do you think?

I kinda don't want to let go because of insurance.

Don't quit until you've already been offered & accepted another job.

That seems like less than minimum wage, maybe a wage they pay teens in high school. At your age you should be earning more than that working at the same place.

But if the business pays for insurance, that could explain the lower wage. But is still quite low wage wise.

In addition, every year you are entitled to ask for a raise. That is if doing a good job and can prove that.

Second job would put you above minimum wage, but might feel more tired too and less down time.

All depends on your lifestyle. If you need more money then get another job if not and you're content for now then don't. Everyone is different.

I need a new job because the pay is so low. I do have insurance and it is a necessity as I am on medication.

I am looking for one that pays better, has insurance and can offer insurance to my wife.

I am not letting my current employer know though until I get hired by another job with insurance. I was lucky to find a side job I can do at home that brings in a little extra money but it is still very tight.

I wouldn't leave your job until you can guarantee you can find another one with insurance. If it is not too much work, maybe get a second job. Especially do not leave if you need the insurance for doctors, medicine etc...

Good luck,

John
